As summer unfolds, Inver Grove Heights offers a variety of events for residents and visitors alike. Here’s a look at some upcoming activities in our community.
Inver Groove: Music in the Park
Starting Tuesday, June 23, the city will host ‘Inver Groove: Music in the Park’ at South Valley Park, located at 2810 70th Street East. These family-friendly concerts begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature a range of musical performances. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy the park’s amenities after the show. The series runs every Tuesday through July 28. In case of inclement weather, concerts will move to the Veterans Memorial Community Center at 8055 Barbara Avenue. Summer Food Truck Festivals
Mark your calendars for the Summer Food Truck Festivals on Wednesday, July 15, and Friday, August 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rich Valley Athletic Complex, 1841 105th Street E. These events will feature over ten food trucks offering a variety of cuisines, live music, and family-friendly activities. A beer vendor will be on-site for attendees aged 21 and over (cash only). While admission is free, food and beverages are available for purchase. Seating is limited, so bringing a blanket or chair is recommended. Leashed dogs are welcome. Author Meet & Greet and Book Signing
On Tuesday, June 30, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Cuppa More Pages at 7826 Cahill Ave will host an Author Meet & Greet and Book Signing event. Local elementary teachers Mrs. Polland and Mrs. Lawless will be present to discuss their books, ‘Strawberry’s Kindness’ and ‘The Wild Blueberry.’ Copies will be available for purchase, or attendees can bring their own for signing.
