Environmental Concerns and Initiatives
In recent years, Inver Grove Heights has faced environmental challenges, including elevated levels of radium in the water supply and incidents of wildlife poisoning. In October 2022, routine testing revealed radium levels of 6.0 picoCuries per liter (pCi/L) in the city’s water, exceeding the maximum contaminant level of 5.4 pCi/L.
