The delay comes after QLevr LLC, the developer behind a planned 54,000-square-foot facility at the former Travel Tags site on Carmen Avenue East, threatened legal action if the moratorium was enacted.
During the council meeting on May 26, 2026, members voted to defer the decision to their next session in June. This pause allows the city to further assess the potential impacts of data centers on local infrastructure and address the developer’s legal concerns.
