City Meetings and Observances
Memorial Day Closure
Date: Monday, May 25
City Hall will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Regular operations will resume the following day.
City Council Regular Meeting
Date: Tuesday, May 26
The City Council will hold its regular meeting in the Council Chambers. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in local governance.
Environmental Advisory Commission Meeting
Date: Thursday, May 28
This meeting will focus on environmental initiatives and concerns within the community. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
Community Events
Touch-A-Truck
Date: Saturday, May 16
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Location: Veterans Memorial Community Center, 8055 Barbara Ave
Children and families can explore various trucks and vehicles, enjoy face painting, and indulge in treats from an on-site ice cream truck. The event is free and open to the public.
Fishing Derby
Date: Saturday, June 6
Join fellow fishing enthusiasts for a day of angling and friendly competition. Details on location and registration will be provided closer to the event date.
Inver Groove: Music in the Park
Enjoy live music performances in our local parks throughout the summer. Specific dates and artist line-ups will be announced soon.

Fitness Classes
The Veterans Memorial Community Center offers a variety of fitness classes, including Tai Chi, Yin Yoga, and more. Pre-registration is required to ensure a spot in these popular sessions.
Community Gardens
Residents interested in gardening can rent plots through the Community Gardens program, running from May 9 to October 11. It’s a great opportunity to grow your own produce and connect with fellow gardeners.
